
Returns, Refund & Cancellation
How to cancel an order, return eligible items, and receive refunds or replacements — in line with India's Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
Overview
This Returns, Refund & Cancellation Policy governs purchases made from Ekjahan Enterprises (including our website and mobile application). It is provided in line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Our aim is a fair, transparent process: you may cancel before dispatch, and return eligible items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect. Please read the specific conditions below.
Order Cancellation
Before dispatch: You may cancel an order free of charge any time before it is handed to our delivery/transport partner. Contact us with your order number and we'll confirm the cancellation and any refund due.
After dispatch: Once an order is dispatched it can no longer be cancelled; you may instead refuse a clearly damaged consignment at delivery, or raise a return request under the eligibility rules below.
We may cancel an order (with a full refund) if the item is out of stock, the price/description was manifestly erroneous, or delivery to your location is not serviceable.
What Can & Cannot Be Returned
Returnable
- Damaged or defective on arrival
- Wrong item or wrong variant delivered
- Item materially different from its description
- Manufacturing defect discovered within the return window
Non-Returnable
- Wires and cables cut/measured to a custom length
- Installed or used electrical goods (safety reasons)
- Items without the original invoice / proof of purchase
- Products with tampered or missing serial numbers
- Clearance / final-sale items marked non-returnable
Return Window
Report damaged, defective, or incorrect items within 48 hours of delivery (with photos), and raise the return request within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and packaging, with all accessories and the original invoice.
How to Raise a Return
- Contact us with your order number, the item(s) affected, and clear photos/video of the issue and packaging.
- Our team reviews the request and, if eligible, approves it within 2–3 business days.
- We arrange a pickup or ask you to drop the item at a nominated point, depending on your location.
- After we receive and quality-check the item, we process the refund or replacement.
Refunds
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible. For payments made offline (UPI / bank transfer / cash on the current order flow), refunds are made by bank transfer to the account you provide.
- Refunds are initiated within 3 business days of completing quality check.
- Bank/gateway credit typically appears within 7–10 business days.
- Any reward coins used on a refunded/cancelled order are credited back.
- Original delivery charges are non-refundable except where the item was damaged, defective, or wrongly delivered.
Online card/UPI gateway payments are being rolled out. Once live, eligible refunds for those orders will be reversed to the original source automatically.
Replacements
For damaged, defective, or incorrect items you may choose a replacement of the same product instead of a refund, subject to stock availability. If a replacement is unavailable, we will issue a refund. Warranty-covered defects discovered after the return window are handled under our Warranty Terms.
Return Shipping Costs
For items that are damaged, defective, or wrongly delivered, Ekjahan bears the return shipping cost. For returns arising from a change of mind (where accepted), the return shipping cost may be borne by the customer or deducted from the refund.
Grievance Redressal
If you are not satisfied with the resolution, write to our Grievance Officer at contacts@ekjahan.com or call +91 91111 98411. We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days, as required under applicable law.
