Introduction
Ekjahan Enterprises is committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly. This Vendor Code of Conduct sets forth the minimum standards that all vendors, suppliers, contractors, and their subcontractors must meet when doing business with us.
Legal Compliance
Vendors must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards including:
- Labor and employment laws
- Environmental protection regulations
- Health and safety standards
- Anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws
- Import/export regulations
- Tax and financial reporting requirements
Labor Standards
Child Labor
Vendors shall not employ workers below the minimum legal working age, and in no case below 14 years.
Forced Labor
All employment must be voluntary. No forced, bonded, indentured, or involuntary prison labor.
Wages and Benefits
Vendors must pay at least the minimum wage required by law and provide all legally mandated benefits.
Health and Safety
Vendors must provide a safe and healthy work environment, including:
- Proper safety equipment and training
- Clean and sanitary facilities
- Emergency preparedness procedures
- Regular safety inspections
- Incident reporting mechanisms
Environmental Responsibility
Vendors are expected to minimize their environmental impact by:
- Complying with all environmental laws and regulations
- Properly managing and disposing of hazardous materials
- Reducing waste, emissions, and energy consumption
- Supporting sustainable sourcing practices
Business Ethics
Anti-Corruption
No bribery, kickbacks, or corrupt practices — including improper payments to government officials or private parties.
Conflicts of Interest
Vendors must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that may affect their business relationship.
Quality Standards
All products and services must meet agreed-upon quality specifications and applicable industry standards. For electrical products, ISI certification is mandatory where applicable.
Monitoring & Enforcement
Ekjahan Enterprises reserves the right to:
- Conduct announced or unannounced audits
- Request documentation demonstrating compliance
- Terminate relationships with non-compliant vendors
- Report violations to appropriate authorities
